Genesis Studio Openings

Genesis gradually expanded their studio retail concept throughout 2021 - 2023 opening 9 studios in high end shopping areas across the UK, Germany and Switzerland. We were tasked with creating bespoke launch content for each studio aimed at attracting local customers through the doors as well as highlighting the USP of the Genesis Personal Assistant.

Battersea was one of the largest studios to open and the open plan layout gave us scope to bring an added dynamic to the camera movements and create wider photographic compositions. We also honed in on some more evergreen content that promoted the studio concepts as a whole.

In Basel we expanded beyond the studio to also detail the Swiss Hotel delivery experience where customers would be invited to a luxury hotel for the final purchase handover, furthering the Genesis ‘Son-Nim’ philosophy of treated every person as a ‘cherished guest’.

Edinburgh’s opening coincided with the 2023 Genesis Scottish Open, we filmed the weekend before the tournament and also supported with live posting from launch event on the tournament Tuesday. We took a more social first approach to our secondary deliverables with this launch and decided to create a ‘day in the life’ style video of the new assistant manager of the store.

In Frankfurt we combined some exisiting rolling stock footage of the Genesis to increase the scope of our videos, collaborating with the same DOP for consistency and taking a larger approach beyond the studio as it was one of the smallest studios to have opened. We also aimed to find parralels between the design style of the city with that of the car, especially the G-Matrix grille motif.
