Canon R100

  • The launch of the Canon R100 required clear and concise production design that would be relatable across all European markets. I was responsible for sourcing locations, cast, props, wardrobe and on set decoration and art direction.

  • We found a modern home in Sussex that felt as at home in Sweden as it would in Serbia. We cast a real core family as well as older actors that would play the grandparents after several chemistry tests. Props were kept bright and colourful to also show the capabilities of the camera in sample imagery and wardrobe was kept muted and modern to counterpoint this.

Aberlour

  • Aberlour had updated their label designs and as such required a full new set of imagery, both provenance and lifestyle were key to them in order to support content calendars and various other comms.

  • We put together two shoots, one on location in Aberlour and another hosted in a location house in London. One element from the new brand guidelines we pulled through to the photography was called 'a touch of red' where in many images we ensured a prop or part of the scene was red as a little easter egg for the discerning fan of the brand.

Ballantine’s Core Range

  • Ballantine's core range is sold worldwide, however not every market has every SKU and not every retailer stocks every product. We were challenged with create appealing graphics that could be used in press and in the L3F to increase brand awareness and drive sales. The assets needed to be felxible and adaptable as well as allow for copy localisation

  • Working with photographer Gary Hamil and stylist Mim Harkin we shot across two weeks carefully considered and consistent compositions so that post retouch various versions could be brought together, drinks could be swapped in and out, especially relevant for some dark market restrictions and ultimately turning 9 scenes into over 50 variations.

Beefeater Gin

  • Beefeater Gin launched a new bottle in 2016 with an illustration of London looking up the Thames inside the bottle. They needed to communicate with all of their markets the change and create a toolkit for launching the new look.

  • We recommissioned the artist to expand the original illustration to cover much more of London in the same perspective and style to embody our headline "The Spirit of London Inside and Out". We also appealed directly to the markets witjh a unique umbrella mailer package with the toolkit attached on a USB stick.

Ballantine’s Single Malts

  • Ballantine's had never released the single malts that make up their finest blend as single malts before.

  • I worked with photographer Pip to develop a mystical look that gave the feeling as though the bottles had been discovered at the back of the distillery. We shot across two days at a Windmill which doubled for an old Barley mill and malt house and at MP Motors in Dalston to create the feeling of a coopers workshop.
